Phil Chilibeck, Ph.D. is a professor in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan and the co-editor-in-chief of Applied Physiology Nutrition and Metabolism. He obtained a B.Sc. (Kinanthropology) from the University of Ottawa, an M.Sc. (Human Biodynamics) from McMaster, and a Ph.D. (Kinesiology) from Western University, then did a postdoctoral fellowship (Physical Education and Recreation) at the University of Alberta. His research interests include using nutritional and exercise interventions for improving cardiometabolic and bone health, and for improving performance in athletes. His research has been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
This session will provide attendees with a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into assessing an APNM article. It will cover peer review, article best practices, and open access. It will also highlight the benefits of publishing and engaging with Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism (APNM), the official journal of the CNS.
